Where to stay to make the most of your time
If you are looking for atmosphere, cafes, bars, and restaurants, Colonia Americana is a great option. If you prefer to be close to monuments, plazas, and museums, the Historic Center works very well.

GDL Visit Tip: choose your area according to your main plan. You will save time on travel and enjoy the city more.

Day 1: history, coffee, and local flavor
Start in Colonia Americana with a specialty coffee and walk through the area. Afterward, visit the Templo Expiatorio, one of the most impressive structures in Guadalajara.

For breakfast or an early lunch, look for traditional flavors like pozole, birria, or Jaliscan snacks. In the afternoon, you can visit modern cultural spaces and end the day on Avenida Chapultepec, one of the areas with the most nightlife.

Ideal for: those who want to combine architecture, food, culture, and local atmosphere.
GDL Visit Tip: don’t rush. This day is best enjoyed by walking and letting the city reveal itself little by little.

Day 2: Tequila or Tlaquepaque
The second day can take two paths.

If you want an experience outside the city, visit Tequila. There, you will find agave fields, distilleries, tastings, and one of the most representative postcards of Jalisco.

If you prefer to stay close, Tlaquepaque is ideal. Walk along Calle Independencia, visit galleries, buy handicrafts, and enjoy mariachi at El Parián.

Ideal for: travelers who want to experience Jaliscan tradition.
Visit GDL Tip:Tequila requires more time; Tlaquepaque is more practical if you want a relaxed plan.

Day 3: brunch and farewell
Use the last day to enjoy Guadalajara without haste. Providencia is a good area for a quiet brunch before leaving. You can also take the opportunity to buy something local, walk a little more, or try one last typical dish.

What to try before you leave: carne en su jugo, birria, torta ahogada, or local coffee.
GDL Visit Tip:keep this day lighter to avoid rushing before your return.
